Who: Nikayatu Jusu

What: Sierra Leonean-American Writer/Director Jusu recently received her MFA from New York University-Tisch School of the Arts and has written and directed a series of award winning short films including African Booty Scratcher and Say Grace Before Drowning. Jusu’s work is revolutionizing black cinema by highlighting women who are often ignored and forcing us to question our definitions of womanhood, identity and respectability.
