Down Freeman’s Alley We Found “Material”

April 10, 2012 § Leave a comment

Last breezy Saturday we took the opportunity to check out Duro Olowu’s curated show ‘Material”, a pop-up shop/exhibition that displays the work that inspired his spring 2012 collection. Including pieces of the collection Salon 94 was filled with everything from jewelry, home furnishings, sculpture, to a box of vinyl LPs. Jamaican- Nigerian Olowu is known for his very punchy and eclectic combinations, this can definitely be seen in his exhibit. Oluwu continues to push the boundaries, test the limits, and forces us to constantly question what we truly find beautiful.
